Who We Are
Our approach? We believe in quality ingredients. An approachable setting and modern atmosphere. And a passion for service.
FRANK LEE | Owner
Frank has been a Capital Region resident for over 30 years, and worked in the restaurant and hospitality business just as long. He graduated from University at Albany in 1982, and operated a number of Chinese and American restaurants.
In 2009, Frank saw Capital Region’s need for elegant Japanese food in an approachable setting, and opened the first Shogun in Delmar. He expanded to the Albany location in March 2012.
WILLIAM LAI | Manager
TOMMY WATKINS | Designer
After recognizing Tommy’s talent in local Albany establishments, Frank commissioned the Capital Region artist to design the Delmar Shogun in 2009. So when Frank decided to bring Shogun to Albany In 2012, a phone call to Tommy was naturally one of his first steps.
Beyond art, Tommy has an intense passion for uniting local artists, and spent the last eight years building the dynamic and cultured art community in upstate New York. He is a founding member of the Upstate Artists Guild and plays a major role in the development of the Albany art scene we appreciate today. You can visit Tommy here.
